Dust or toner on the corona wire may cause this error message to appear on the display. To clean the corona wire, follow the instructions listed below.
1. Open the front cover (below the paper ejection tray) by pulling the taps on the left and right side of the unit towards you.
2. Lift the drum unit slightly and pull it out.
3. Place the drum unit on a drop cloth or large piece of disposable paper to avoid spilling and scattering the toner.
4. Clean the corona wire inside the drum by gently sliding the blue tap (located on the top left side of the drum unit) from side to side 7 or 8 times.
5. Return the tab to the home position (left side of drum). It should click into place. (If the tab is not at the Home position, printed pages may have vertical stripes)
6. Reinstall the drum unit.
7. Close the front cover, pressing firmly on each side until the cover clicks into place.
